Scottie Scheffler $12,100

Scottie is a giant looming over this entire field. In eight tournaments so far this year
his worst finish is 17th and has otherwise come top 10 in every tournament. He also won the PLAYERS and the Arnold Palmer.

Over the last 24 rounds he’s 1st in strokes gained off the tee, 1st on approach, 1st in opportunities gained, 1st in par five scoring, 3rd around the green and 3rd in good drives gained.

Add the fact that he’s already won a green jacket and followed the win up with a top 10 finish last year despite the narrative that defending champs rarely play well at Augusta.

Xander Schauffele $9,900

Xander has finished top 10 in six of his eight tournaments in 2024. So far this year Xander is 2nd in total strokes gained, 3rd off the tee and 4th around the green.

He finished 10th at the Masters last year. In 2021 he was in contention after making four straight birdies but made triple bogey on the 16th hole and finished in 3rd place. He also finished 2nd in 2019.

Hideki Matsuyama $9,000

Hideki has been on a tear since winning the Genesis in February. He followed up the win with a 12th at API, 6th at the PLAYERS and 7th at the Valero. He’s gained a combined 25.4 strokes tee to green over his last two tournaments.

Over the last 24 rounds Hideki is 1st in strokes gained around the green, 5th in par five scoring, 9th in scrambling, 12th on approach, 12th in good drives gained and 18th in strokes gained off the tee.

Hideki has only missed the cut once in twelve appearances at Augusta. He won his green jacket in 2021 and has two other top 10 finishes. Last year he came 16th which was his worst finish in the last four years.

Justin Thomas $8,700

Thomas has had some rough outings recently. It’s lead to him and Bones parting ways. The putter has been the issue. He lost a combined 8.3 strokes putting in his last two tournaments.

The promising thing is he’s still hitting his irons well. He’s gained strokes on approach in seven of his last eight tournaments. Over the last 24 rounds Thomas is 9th in strokes gained approach, 7th around the green, 10th in par five scoring and 11th in driving distance.

He missed the cut last year at Augusta but had never missed a cut in his seven previous appearances. He finished 8th in 2022 and 4th in 2020.

Sahith Theegala $7,700

Theegala has looked great so far this year. He already has four top 10 finishes. So far in 2024 he’s 3rd in total strokes gained, 7th off the tee and 3rd in strokes gained putting.

His game can definitely play well at Augusta. His ability to get out of trouble while still creating scoring opportunities gives him a great ceiling. In his Masters debut last year Theegala finished in 9th place

Akshay Bhatia $7,200

Bhatia showed great poise in his playoff win last week. I believe he can carry his momentum into his Masters debut. His game could translate very well to Augusta.

Bhatia won last week, came 11th in Houston and 17th at the Valspar. He’s gained strokes off the tee, on approach and putting in all three tournaments.

Over the last 24 rounds he’s 4th in good drives gained, 8th on approach, 13th off the tee and 13th in opportunities gained.

Fades

Si Woo Kim $7,100

It looks like Si Woo will be one of the higher owned golfers in the lower 7k range. There’s other guys around him that I’d rather play at much lower ownership. Adam Scott, Akshay Bhatia, Stephen Jaeger and Harris English to name a few. Si Woo has been consistent at Augusta but hasn’t flashed much upside. A 12th place finish in 2021 is his best finish.
