For most people the LIV Golfers are out of sight out of mind until the Majors come around. Whether you care about LIV or not you should probably catch up if you’re investing a cent into the Masters. Last year four of the top six golfers at Augusta were from LIV.
As we approach the Masters let’s take a look at what some of these guys have been up to. There’s not exactly a ton of stats available for the LIV tournaments but we’ll do our best with the information we have.
*I am writing this prior to the conclusion of LIV-Miami
Jon Rahm
LIV STATS
Fairways: 15th(56.55%)
GIR%: 2nd(75%)
Drive Distance: 9th(307.7)
Scrambling: 6th(70.37%)
Putt Avg: 21stth(1.58)
Rahm has played well since his last PGA tournament. He’s yet to win a LIV event but has come top 10 in all of his tournaments.
He played the DP World Tour Championship in November and finished T5.
He finished 3rd in his first LIV event(Mayakoba) in early February. After the first round he was seven strokes behind Nieman but got to within two strokes by the end of round two. He ended up shooting 10 under in total which was two strokes off the lead.
Rahm came 8th in Vegas the following week. He could have finished better but shot one over on Sunday.
He was 1st round leader in Jeddah shooting eight under. He ultimately finished 5th at eleven under which was pretty disappointing considering the hot start. He followed that up with an 8th place in Hong Kong.
Rahm shot a three under 69 in the 1st round and currently sits T8 in Miami.
Rahm is obviously the defending Masters Champion but he also has four other top 10 finishes at Augusta and has never finished worse than 27th.
Brooks Koepka

GIR%: 6th(74.07%)
Drive Distance: 11th(305.8)
Scrambling: 7th(69.64%)
Putt Avg: 26th(1.59)
Koepka’s most recent win was in Jeddah back in October.
He’s been rather pedestrian so far in 2024 outside of a 5th place finish at Mayakoba. He followed it up with back to back 12th place finishes in Vegas and Jeddah.
He then finished 28th in Hong Kong shooting one over on Sunday. He shot a round of three under par in the opening round in Miami and is currently in 8th place.
Brooks hasn’t won a green jacket but was a runner up last year and in 2019.
Joaquin Niemann
LIV STATS
Fairways: 30th(53.57%)
GIR%: 2nd(75%)
Drive Distance: 2nd(314.4)
Scrambling: 35th(59.26%)
Putt Avg: 8th(1.56)
Niemann has been on an absolute heater. He has seven top five finishes in his last eight tournaments. Three of which were wins.
He won the Australian Open back in December shooting 14 under. He followed that up with a 4th place finish in Dubai.
He then beat Sergio Garcia in a playoff to win at Mayakoba. He shot an opening round 59 and held a two stroke lead going into Sunday before Sergio caught up.
He came back to earth with a 30th place finish in Vegas but immediately bounced back two weeks later finishing 3rd in an Asian Your event.
He followed that up winning by four strokes at Jeddah. Niemann then finished 4th in Hong Kong.
He shot one under par at Doral and currently sits T20 in Miami.
Niemann doesn’t have the best track record at Augusta but he had improved each year. He missed the cut in 2018 in his Masters debut then finished 40th, 35th and then 16th last year.
Cam Smith
LIV STATS
Fairways: 52nd(45.83%)
GIR%: 37th(64.81%)
Drive Distance: 38th(293.8)
Scrambling: 22nd(63.16%)
Putt Avg: 1st(1.49)
Last year Cam was a top 10 machine and also won twice. He started 2024 with an eight place finish at Mayakoba and finished 15th in Vegas shooting two over in his final round.
He followed Vegas up with a 41st place finish shooting one under in Jeddah. Keep in mind there’s only 54 golfers in the field of a no cut event. This was basically the equivalent of a missed cut for Cam.
A week later in Hong Kong he showed his upside losing in a playoff to Ancer. He shot 13 under with his worst round being three under par.
Cam had a rough start in Miami and is currently in 42nd place after shooting three over par in the opening round.
Cam has been close a few times at the Masters with three top 5 finishes. He’s also never missed a cut at Augusta in seven appearances.
Dustin Johnson

2024 has treated DJ nicely. He started the year off with a 5th place finish at Mayakoba and then won in Vegas.
He then finished 27th at Jeddah but could have finished better if not for a poor 2nd round. He finished 21st in Hong Kong where he shot a 63 in the final round which was the low round on Sunday.
He’s currently T14 in Miami after shooting two under in the first round.
DJ didn’t have much success at the Masters early in his career but is an owner of a green jacket thanks to his win in November of 2020. It was his fifth straight top 10 finish at Augusta. Last year he finished 48th and 12th in 2022.
Bryson DeChambeau
LIV STATS
Fairways: 35th(51.19%)
GIR%: 5th(74.54%)
Drive Distance: 1st(320.6)
Scrambling: 32nd(60%)
Putt Avg: 34th(1.61)
DeChambeau started 2024 with a disappointing 25th place finish thanks in part to a round of three over on Saturday.
He looked much better the following week in Vegas firing a 67 in round one and was tied for the low round in round two shooting 62. Unfortunately he had another blow up round in the final round shooting a four over 74 and ultimately finishing in 9th place.
He continued the theme of terrible rounds with a three over 73 in Jeddah bit bounced back nicely with another 62 which was the low round on Sunday. He finished in 4th place five strokes off the lead.
Bryson was actually able to keep it together for all three rounds in Hong Kong shooting 65, 68 and 66 coming T6 finishing two strokes behind Abraham Ancer.
He’s tied for 20th with an opening 71 in the first round in Miami.
Bryson has yet to figure out Augusta in his career. He missed the cut the last two years and his best finish was a 21st place finish back in 2016 as an amateur.

He shot seven under par for the tournament. The bulk of his scoring came in the final round where he shot the low round of 64.
His finishes have gotten progressively worse as the season has gone on. He finished 12th in Vegas, 15th at Jeddah and 21st in Hong Kong.
Hatton shot two under in his first round in Miami and is currently tied for 14th place.
Hatton has not played well at Augusta over the years. His best finish in seven appearances was 18th in 2021. His 2nd best finish was a 34th. He’s also missed the cut twice.

Reed finished 2023 with a 7th place finish at the Indonesian Masters. He’s been rather inconsistent so far in 2024.
At Mayakoba he shot an opening round 64 but followed it up with consecutive rounds over par finishing in 17th place.
He followed it up with a 39th place finish in Vegas. He again shot over par in two of his three rounds. Only ten golfers shot worse than him for the tournament.
Reed finished in 37th place in Jeddah. He shot a five under 65 in the opening round but closed out the tournament shooting three over par in the final round.

His best performance was on the Asian Tour where he shot 20 under and finished three strokes off the lead in 4th place.
He played well in the first round of Miami shooting three under and is in 8th place.

GIR%: 10th(71.76%)
Drive Distance: 18th(302.1)
Scrambling: 9th(68.85%)
Putt Avg: 30th(1.6)
Sergio closed out 2023 with some impressive performances. He finished 14th in Chicago and 3rd at Jeddah. He rolled that success into 2024 with a playoff loss to Niemann at Mayakoba.
He’s cooled off a bit since coming 26th in Vegas, 15th at Jeddah, 38th in Hong Kong and 21st most recently on the Asian Tour.
He’s currently tied for the lead after an opening round of 67 in Miami.
Sergio has played the Masters 20 times in total over his career. He’s had very mixed results. He won in 2017 but otherwise only has two other top 10 finishes. He missed the cut eight times, four of which were in the last five years.

Scrambling: 51st(53.16%)
Putt Avg: 12th(1.57)
There has been no consistency in Phil’s game for quite some time. He started the year off shooting 11 over par and finishing in 51st out of 54 golfers in Mayakoba.
He finished in 30th place in Vegas where he only shot under par in the 2nd round.
His best finish in quite some time came at Jeddah where he shot ten under finishing in 6th place.

He hasn’t had the best start in Miami where he sits 47th after an opening round of four over par.
Phil has an incredible track record at the Masters. He’s won three times at Augusta although his most recent win was back in 2010. He has nine top five finishes, fifteen top 25 finishes and has only missed the cut twice in 22 appearances. He came 2nd last year thanks to shooting a 65 on Sunday.
