My Core Four

As of writing this it looks like Rory Mcllroy is going grossly under owned. If his projection remains below 25% I will have him in at least 40% of my lineups. There is plenty of value to fit him and he is far and away the top talent in this field.

Daniel Berger $9,200
DK Ownership 16%

After his long layoff, Berger has three tournaments under his belt this year and has looked pretty good overall only missing the cut at the Farmers. He played well most recently at the Waste Management finishing 28th and gaining just under four strokes on approach.

He’s played well at PGA National with three top-5 finishes in seven appearances here including two 4th place finishes his last two times out. He’s gained strokes off the tee in all seven appearances and only lost strokes putting once.

Keith Mitchell $9,000
DK Ownership 14%

Mitchell is playing well coming in with back to back top 20 finishes. He’s gained strokes off the tee in all six of his tournaments this year. He was on fire with his irons last week in Mexico gaining over eight strokes on approach.

He has some mixed results at PGA National but did come 9th last year and won here in 2019. Despite not being an incredible putter, Mitchell has gained strokes putting at all five of his appearances here.

Adam Svensson $7,700
DK Ownership 16%

Svensson played well his last time out finishing 10th at the Genesis where he gained just under seven strokes tee to green.

He’s played the Honda before and hasn’t been too bad. He’s made the cut in all three appearances and came 9th here in 2022 when he gained 11.8 strokes tee to green. He’s gained strokes on approach in all three appearances.

Over the last 24 rounds Svensson is 7th on approach, 2nd from 175-200 yards, 5th from 200+ yards and 19th in fairways gained.

Fades

JT Poston $9,800

This is mainly a pricing fade. There’s too many golfers around him in salary that I’d like to play. He also hasn’t been very good at PGA National. His best finish was 27th in his first appearance back in 2017. Over the last three years he’s finished 63rd, 42nd and missed cut.

Christian Bezuidenhout $7,600

C Bez will be fairly popular but I’m not willing to go there. In two appearances at the Honda he’s finished 42nd and 25th. Over the last 24 rounds he’s 101st in sand saves, 90th in fairways gained and 78th in bogey avoidance. He’s seriously struggling off the tee losing strokes in every event since the middle of July.
